Radon in the Home
Radon is found in varying quantities in all buildings, all over the country. However, some locations are at a greater risk due to underlying geology. The UK Health Security Agency's Radon Map can be used to check whether a property sits in an area suspected of having high levels of Radon Gas.
The map gives an indication of how likely you are to find Radon Gas in a particular area; however, Radon testing must be carried out to determine whether a particular house is affected.
Radon in the Workplace
The same can be said for Radon in the workplace. Using the Radon map should be your first port of call if you are concerned that your place of work may be at risk from Radon.
A Radon risk assessment will need to be carried out if the building is in a Radon affected area, as identified by the map. An assessment should also be carried out if the building has a basement or other partly below-ground area where one or more hours of work are carried out each week, regardless of location.

Each 10-day Radon Measurement Kit contains two detectors: one for the main living area and another for the master bedroom.
You will receive clear instructions detailing where the detectors should be placed, expert telephone support, if required, and an easy to understand measurement report from our ISO17025 accredited laboratory, within 1-2 weeks from return.
